Why blame them when we cut the colors in the light,
why blame them when we made the black and the white,
Why blame them for this human and what he vexes,
Why blame them, for the crafted unequal sexes,
Why blame them for the lost peace and the pause,
Why blame them, when we’re the ones causing wars,
Why blame them for the corrupt in its varying roles,
Why blame them, when we’re clothed on our dead souls,
Why blame them for the right and the wrong,
Why blame them, when we broke from the roots we belonged,
Why blame them for what came out as dreams and mere lies,
Why blame them, when we couldn't stand the truth in the eyes,
Why blame them when for the punishments we live,
Why blame them for all we can’t forget and forgive,
Why blame them when we are the ones who made the differences,
Why blame them when we are the ones who gaped the distances,
Why blame them for the broken hearts we couldn't mend,
Why blame them when we couldn't bring love in a lasting trend,
Why blame the gods, the times and the nature,
Why blame them for our values in fracture,
Why not blame ourselves and sit with them and muse,
When we are left with all but the choices we choose,
Why not blame ourselves for sins we committed loose,
Why not look inside ourselves and come to a truce,
and while the change follows the why and the why nots,
let me wipe your tears, with my thumbs soft and clean,
hold you after all that has happened and been seen,
“We will live again, am sure,
but only if we'll let us be,
let everyone be,
We will live again, am sure,
but only if we'll let us be,
let everyone be......”
"why blame them"
ReplyDeleteseriously....hum sochte nhi bs blame krte h...
very very gud and deep meaningful lines.
:)
The whole saga and the lines conveying it is full of moments where you wish to get dipped and read on and on. Neither never get full of the lines written, nor overwhelming, nor rising, just highlighting of the simple plain truthful moments of disagreement with ourselves and that is all your poem is about(to me)...the best: I felt as if I am reading a classic.
ReplyDeletethe NOT best: still there was a missing element which dips you and drowns,...and then takes you out..full of water...full of astonishment... Excelent write! :)
...Yet blame them, We do, for the opportunities not seized.
ReplyDelete...And blame them, we must, for the 'constructionism' of dogmas at ease.
...And I blame them, I blame them...
...As long as and as much as I please...
